Arrangement of CNC machining process:

 

(1) Coarse first and then refined

For example, in the order of rough turning-semi-finishing-finishing, the machining accuracy is gradually improved. Rough turning will remove most of the machining allowance on the surface of the workpiece (the portion shown in the stippled line shown in Figure 2-4) in a relatively short period of time. In this way, on the one hand, the metal removal rate is improved, and on the other hand, it satisfies the requirement of the allowance uniformity of the finishing turning. If the uniformity of the allowance left after rough turning cannot meet the requirements of finishing, semi-finishing should be arranged to prepare for finishing. In the finishing process, the machining accuracy should be ensured, and the outline of the part should be cut out according to the size of the drawing.

 

(2) First near and then far

Under normal circumstances, the modern part away from the tool setting point is processed first, and the part away from the tool setting point element is processed later, so as to shorten the tool moving distance and reduce the idle travel time. For turning, it is beneficial to maintain the rigidity of the blank or semi-finished product and improve its cutting conditions.

 

(3) The principle of cross-cutting inside and outside

For parts that need to be machined on both the inner surface (inner cavity) and the outer surface, when arranging the machining sequence, the inner and outer surfaces should be roughed first, and then the inner and outer surfaces should be finished. Do not process other surfaces (inner or outer) after machining part of the upper surface (outer or inner) of the part.

 

(4) Basis first principle

Priority should be given to machining surfaces used as fine datums. This is because the more precise the surface of the positioning datum, the smaller the clamping error. For example, when machining shaft parts, the center hole is usually machined first, and then the outer surface and the end surface are machined with the center hole as the fine reference.

 

(5) The principle of first priority and second priority

The main working surface and assembly base surface of the part should be machined first, so as to detect possible defects on the main surface of the blank as early as possible. The secondary surface can be interspersed, placed after the primary machined surface has been machined to a certain extent and before the final finishing.

 

(6) The principle of face first and hole later

The plane outline size of the box and bracket parts is relatively large. Generally, the plane is processed first, and then the holes and other dimensions are processed. In this way, the processing sequence is arranged, on the one hand, the machined plane is used for positioning, which is stable and reliable; partial.
